Martin worked under my supervision as a School Choice Advisor with the Recovery School District, a difficult, customer-service oriented job requiring excellent attention to detail and a relentlessly positive attitude. Martin’s focus on doing the job right, and serving our students and families well, was evident in all of his work.  Martin in general showed a level of thought and care that went above and beyond the call of duty.

As a fluent Spanish-speaker, Martin worked with both our general family population, and our Spanish-speaking students and families. Working with our Spanish-speaking population required Martin to navigate questions of larger legal or logistical import. In every case, Martin showed care, diligence, and a willingness to do whatever it takes to help the families he was serving. His translation and interpretation skills were critical additions to our team, helping us ensure all resources were available to all families.
